Summary
Ursuline College, a small liberal arts college located on a tranquil campus outside of Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a full-time, visiting faculty member to assume teaching and advising responsibilities in its expanding graduate Counseling and Art Therapy Program beginning January 4, 2021 through June 15, 2021. The program provides education and training in clinical mental health counseling and art therapy, is CACREP accredited and approved by the American Art Therapy Association.
Qualifications:
Doctorate in Counselor Education preferably from a CACREP accredited program or Doctorate in a related field if served as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013,
- Preferred master’s degree in art therapy with an ATR-BC and/or have an affinity for creative and expressive approaches
- Licensed LPCC, preferably with supervisory status or license eligible in Ohio preferred
- Active participation in state, national, and local professional organizations
- Evidence of continuing scholarly work and competence in teaching
- Candidates must have excellent communication skills, flexibility, mature judgment, and a commitment to teaching in a creative, collaborative and values-based environment with a focus on promoting individual student success.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching graduate level counseling courses
- Advising students and participating in prospective student interviews
- Participating in department and college meetings and committees as appropriate
- Assisting with departmental responsibilities such as accreditation processes, curriculum and program development, practicum and internship, thesis, and fulfilling other duties as assigned
