Full-Time DBT Therapist at Premier Behavioral Health Services (PBHS)
Job Description:
Private practice in Mentor, OH seeking an independently licensed therapist to join our team in a full-time capacity.
We are looking for a clinician to facilitate an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adults with general mental health concerns. In addition to facilitating this IOP, the clinician will see individual adult patients and work with our multi-disciplinary team. As our practice continues to grow, so do our range of patients.
Those with DBT experience are encouraged to apply, but training in this modality is not a requirement. Previous group experience is preferred. As DBT emphasizes psychoeducation and didactic training, teaching experience and/or comfort engaging with small groups is essential. Familiarity with motivational strategies and confronting therapy-interfering behaviors also is suggested for applicants.
Clinician will participate in a variety of professional activities, including:
-Conducting initial diagnostic intake assessments
-Orienting new IOP patients to DBT and the IOP experience
-Facilitating a DBT-focused IOP
-Individual psychotherapy
-Participation in regular treatment team meeting
-Professional consultation as needed
-Crisis intervention
-Marketing/community education as needed
-Supervision of other clinicians (if consistent with licensure)

Practice Description:
We are a multi-disciplinary mental health practice providing a combination of psychiatric and psychological services to adolescents, adults, and seniors. Services include comprehensive assessment and treatment of mental health conditions and addiction. To meet the mental health needs of Northeast Ohio, our practice prioritizes our IOP services; in addition, we provide individual and conjoint psychotherapy, medication management, and neuropsychological and forensic assessment services.
Our IOPS are accredited both by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) as well as the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS).
