Beech Brook, one of Northeast Ohio’s premier behavioral health agencies, is currently hiring a Family Preservation Therapist to provide behavioral health, mental health interventions, case management, and perform diagnostic assessment to at-risk youth and families with emotional, psychological, behavioral and/or trauma based issues. This position is a community based role that requires the therapist to go into homes anywhere in Cuyahoga County to perform interventions.

Essential Responsibilities (others may be assigned):
Provide short term intensive behavioral and mental health intervention in the home in order to stabilize families and ensure permanency Partner with interdisciplinary team to coordinate services for families including but not limited to, local juvenile court system, psychiatric hospitals, external child serving agencies and child welfare systems.

Compliant with contractual requirements and able to complete required Medicaid documentation in mandated time frame Implement 90 day treatment model with assigned clients

Education:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree-Master’s degree preferred
Minimum LSW or PC

Qualifications:
2 years of experience working with children and families

Knowledge of community resources and comfortably in the home setting
Must have a thorough understanding of and value a client/family-centered, integrated care approach
Skill in using computer software applications such as Microsoft Office and electronic medical records
Experience working with diverse populations with complex needs, including high risk clients
Ability to work a rigorous schedule to handle crisis situations
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Flexible and adaptable in order to meet the needs of the family
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with clients in inner city homes
Experience working with medical record
