Position: Adult/Adolescent Dual Diagnosis Therapist

The Outpatient Dual Diagnosis Therapist position is a valuable part of the Outpatient Treatment Team. The Outpatient Treatment Team consists of the Site Supervisor, Therapists, Case Managers, Nurses and Psychiatrists. This team actively works together and collaborates regarding the care of outpatient clients seeking treatment for mental health, substance use and dual diagnosis disorders. This is an office based position.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- 1. Oversees and maintains an active caseload.
- 2. Works to develop rapport and trusting relationships with clients served.
- 3. Conducts dual diagnosis assessments and recommendations for treatment for clients seeking treatment services. Develops Individualized Treatment Plans.
- 4. Facilitates mental health and/or substance use disorder groups.
- 5. Works individually with the client addressing treatment needs.
- 6. Attends and participates in treatment team meetings coordinating care of client.
- 7. Attends and participates in agency in-service meetings.
- 8. Maintains clinical documentation within the client record and billing for services.
- 9. Follows agency policy and procedure and maintains compliance with accreditation bodies – CARF and OMHAS.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1. LISW, LISW-S, LPC, LPCC, or LPCC-S preferred. LSW, PC, LICDC required.
- 2. Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited college or university preferred, Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university required.
- 3. Two or more years of experience in the dual diagnosis field.
- 4. Valid driver’s license
- 5. Subject to BCI background check and pre-employment drug screen.
