    Position: CCNO Dual Diagnosis Therapist         

    Location: Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio (CCNO)- Stryker, OH 

    Classification: Full Time Salary Exempt

    The CCNO Dual Diagnosis Therapist position is a valuable part of the Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio Treatment Team based in CCNO (Correction Center of Northwest Ohio). The Team consists of case management and therapist staff members who actively collaborate in the care of the client. The goal of this team is to work with clients who are managing substance use disorders and/or dual diagnosis disorders and assist them in the development of skills and tools to establish recovery and minimize risk of recidivism. There is a $1,000 sign on bonus and relocation expenses are negotiable.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    • 1.    Oversees and maintains an active caseload.
    • 2.    Works to develop rapport and trusting relationships with clients served.
    • 3.    Conducts dual diagnosis assessments and recommendations for treatment for clients seeking treatment services. Develops Individualized Treatment Plans.
    • 4.    Facilitates mental health and/or substance use disorder groups.  
    • 5.    Works individually with the client addressing treatment needs.
    • 6.    Conducts discharge planning and links client to outpatient services as client is released from CCNO. 
    • 7.    Attends and participates in treatment team meetings and agency in-service meetings.
    • 8.    Maintains clinical documentation within the client record and billing for services.
    • 9.    Follows agency policy and procedure and maintains compliance with accreditation bodies – CARF and OMHAS. Follows CCNO policy and procedures.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 1.    LSW, PC, or LICDC required. LISW, LISW-S, LPC, LPCC, or LPCC-S preferred.
    • 2.    Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university is required. Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited college or university preferred.
    • 3.    Two or more years of experience in the dual diagnosis field.  
    • 4.    Subject to BCI background check and pre-employment drug screen.
