Working diligently to respond to the current epidemic impacting our community with more treatment beds, the McIntyre Center is proud to announce a partnership with the Alpha House, a sober living residence in Oberlin, Ohio With this opening the McIntyre Center is in need of multiple counselors to manage the group and individual counseling needs of the residence.
Positions
The McIntyre Center is looking to fill multiple fulltime positions to support treatment of the residents at the sober house. The ideal candidates will possess strong independent skills while still seeking to be part of the family oriented team that makes the McIntyre Center a wonderful work environment.
- Group Counselor: to facilitate daily group counseling sessions (multiple positions)
- Individual Counselor: to provide dual diagnosis counseling
- Assessment Counselor: to provide AOD and dual diagnosis assessments
Responsibilities
- Conduct AOD and dual diagnosis assessments
- Conduct group counseling
- Conduct individual counseling
- Maintain client records in EHR software
- Collect urine screens
- May provide site supervision to peers or interns
- Participate in weekly staff meetings
- Participate in ongoing program improvement
- Some travel between facilities
- Other responsibilities as deemed necessary for the success of the program
Requirements
- Licensed by the state of Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board or Counselor and Social Work Board. Independent licensure preferred but not required.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in a human services field required, masters in counseling or social work preferred but not required.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in AOD counseling

- Commensurate to licensure and experience
