Therapeutic Community Program Director

    CompDrug, a recognized provider of prevention and treatment services, is searching for an experienced Program Director to lead and oversee program integrity and compliance for the Stepping Stones Therapeutic Community within Grafton Reintegration Center.   

    Key Responsibilities:

    ·         Implement and maintain CompDrug’s clinical philosophy within the community while fostering a positive and respectful treatment environment.

    ·         Provide leadership and supervision for the staff.  Including, but not limited to conducting interviews and making recommendations for hire, communication, professional and personal development, staff coaching and performance evaluations.

    ·         Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff, community members and institution.

    ·         Work with staff to complete treatment teams and individual treatment plans.

    ·         Provide direct care to community members, including facilitation of group sessions, individual sessions, Bio-Psycho-Social Assessments, case management, master treatment plan and monitoring of client progress.

    ·         Participate in and work closely with steering committee and with institution leadership and staff.

    ·         Assist in providing and coordinating training, seminars, recreational activities and special events for the activity.

    ·         Create and maintain appropriate and required documentation to meet state, grant and CompDrug requirements.

    Position Requirements:

    ·         Chemical Dependency Licensure recognized by the Ohio Credentialing Board or other Ohio licensing authority with jurisdiction over professionals authorized to provide counseling service, or the ability to transfer a like license from another state into Ohio.  Licensure must be maintained.   Licensure to provide staff supervision is highly preferred.

    ·         Three to five years of experience in addiction recovery counseling or related treatment.

    ·         Previous experience working in a Therapeutic Community, preferably in a supervisory or counseling role, strongly preferred.  Experience in a correctional institution environment preferred.

    ·         Previous management or leadership experience, preferably in a mental health setting.

    ·         Bachelors degree in Psychology, Counseling or Criminal Justice, a viable combination of education and experience will be considered.

    ·         Ability to effectively, accurately, clearly and confidentially communicate in oral and written form while working with community members and staff with compassion and empathy.

    ·         Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail in a fast paced, group environment.

    ·         Excellent communication and human relations skills and the ability to handle a variety of situations and personalities, maintaining composure at all times.

    ·         Must be knowledgeable of applicable laws and regulations governing treatment facilities, including but not limited to HIPAA, PREA, Title 42, Part 2.
