The McIntyre Center, one of Ohio's oldest private state certified substance abuse counseling agencies, has an immediate opening for a substance abuse counselor.

The position is for a fulltime group counselor, facilitating non-intensive and intensive outpatient clients. Additional responsibilities will include individual counseling, family counseling, assessments, case management, and urine screens. Work hours will be afternoon to evening (12pm - 8pm). 

Candidates, must be licensed in the state of Ohio with an LCDC II or higher, an LPC or higher, or an LSW or higher. All applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in substance abuse counseling and must be proficient in group counseling. Ideally candidates will have experience in working with a court mandated population. Candidates must exhibit a good balance between empathy and assertiveness. Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office products and possess good oral and written communication skills.
