Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist
20 hours per week. Seeking a part time therapist to provide early childhood mental health services in home and at the Athens clinic. Person will work closely with teachers, parents, and young children who are suffering from relationship problems, adjustment difficulties, mental health issues, and/or attachment issues which have derailed healthy development.
Minimum requirements: Possession of a LPC, LSW, LPCC, LISW, or MFT license through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Master’s degree in a mental health related field with one year of experience and licensure is preferred. Person must have: Knowledge of counseling techniques and family focused interventions; Experience and/or training working with children and families with a primary interest in working with young children and their families; the ability to work closely with clients and other family service providers in assessment and problem solving; the ability to work responsibly and manage own workload; The ability to relate well/appropriately to young children and their families; The ability to understand and relate to the family’s values, culture and the children’s interests; and a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and vehicle suitable for transportation.
