WCAP MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR

(Clinical Supervisor)

 Essential Duties

The Day-to-Day:

• §  Engage in both individual and group counseling sessions with clients to provide mental health counseling/alcohol and other drug counseling services
• §  Conduct clinical MH/AoD assessments to identify client needs, diagnose and identify the appropriate treatment intervention(s) to help clients meet goals.
• §  Provide clinical supervision and consultation support to assigned supervisee’s (e.g., conducting regular clinical supervision meetings, review and provide timely signage for all supervisee clinical documentation, provide crisis support to all agency clients, conducting all required clinical supervisor role responsibilities per sign supervision contracts with supervisees).
• §  Ensure clinical decisions are made in the best interest of the client.
• §  Make referrals to community resources as needed
• §  Comply with HIPAA, follow licensure ethics of respective governing bodies and maintain required licensure continuing education units (CEU’s).

Qualifications:

• §  At least 2-years’ experience as an independently licensed mental health practitioner in the State of Ohio (i.e., L.P.C./L.P.C.C.-S); at least 2-years of experience as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor w/Supervision designation in the State of Ohio.

Preferred Qualification(s):

• §  Experience in development, coordination, administration of Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for alcohol and other drug adult clients.
