Upcoming GRC Town Halls & GRC Meetings
Town Halls
These are public meetings where professional counselors can gather to discuss updates with the GRC, OCA Lobbyists, and ongoing legislation that impact the profession. We try to host these quarterly throughout the year (including our fall meeting at the annual All Ohio Counselor's Conference). During each meeting, we schedule the next town hall for approximately 90 days.
Current Town Hall Schedule:
- Our next town hall meeting will be during the AOCC (see below)
- Wednesday 11/4/26, 10:00a (Pre-Conference)
- Thursday 11/5/26, 12:30-2p Lunch & Learn with IAC/GRC
Be on the lookout for our next town hall in approximately February.
Monthly GRC Meetings
The Government Relations Committee meets once a month to discuss ongoing advocacy and legislative efforts. The monthly meeting is restricted (for now) to include OCA members who are participating on an existing division/chapter/etc. Most of these divisions and chapters will select one of their members to represent the group on the GRC as a liaison that will pass information back and forth.

Help us track legislation! Check out our legislation tracker and send us your comments/concerns/testimonies (no PHI!). We'll compile those so your voice can still help us shape the policies and/or legislation impacting professional counselors across the state.
Consider adding your name to our list of possible volunteers to testify in person at the statehouse. You can let us know you are interested (and not yet obligated) to testify when a bill is in front of a committee. If you're conveniently located in Central OH, we can give you talking points and/or possible scripts to represent the voices of providers across the state. Let us know if we can add your name to our list and we'll reach out when bills are being discussed to see if you might be able to attend. Adding your name to our list is not an obligation to testify.
