Problem Gambling Network of Ohio (PGNO) is offering a free workshop on August 18th called "On Becoming a Gambling Counselor: Professional Responsibilities.”

This interactive workshop will highlight the issues that gambling counselors confront in their practice through the use of case examples and discussion. Clinicians will increase their awareness and openness to the use of clinical supervision and consultation to best meet counselor responsibilities. Following the presentation, PGNO will provide an overview of requirements for the GAMB Endorsement for those interested in learning more.

Dr. Heather Chapman, Ph.D., ICGC-II, BACC, the Director of the Brecksville Gambling Treatment Program at the Cleveland VA Medical Center, will lead the workshop. The 2021 recipient of the Dr. Robert Custer Lifetime Award for Direct Service has over 20 years of experience in working with problem gambling and provides bimonthly statewide supervision to gambling treatment counselors.

This workshop will provide treatment professionals with 2.0 CEUs in G4: Professionalism in Gambling Treatment. Clinicians can register here or at PGNOhio.org/Events.
