Training Objectives are:
1) Attendees will be able to define multiculturalism and its importance in helping clients.
2) Attendees will explore their self-awareness to begin to understand their biases toward people different from themselves.
3) Attendees will become knowledgeable and skilled at recognizing their client’s worldview and the assumptions, attitudes, biases, and identities that are inherent in their worldview.
4) Attendees will become knowledgeable and skilled at recognizing their client’s worldview and how the worldviews of both client and counselor influences the counseling relationship.
About your trainer:
Steve Stuhlreyer is the founder and owner of Restoring Hope Counseling and Coaching. In addition to his leadership at RHCC, Steve works primarily with men, especially men of faith who struggle with sexual addiction or pornography use. Prior to his counseling career, Steve served as an ordained minister for 16 years serving in churches and non-profit organizations. Currently, Steve is a 3rd year PhD student with a concentration in Counselor Education and Supervision. Previous trainings of his include Supervision and Ethics, Integration of Career and Mental Health Counseling and a variety of topics to benefit the local faith communities.
