About this event

A 3 hour workshop including:

• An introduction to basic and updated concepts in neurobiology.
• An overview of their application in counseling.
• A discussion of culturally responsive trauma and crisis response with clients across the lifespan
• Demonstration and practice with self awareness and self regulation techniques.

Participants will be able to:

1. Summarize basic and updated concepts in neurobiology;
2. Understand the application of neurobiological concepts in counseling;
3. Discuss cultural and developmental considerations for trauma and crisis response;
4. Practice self-awareness and self regulation techniques for clients and ourselves.
