Y6 OPCWI Preceptor Development Webinar Series: Mindfulness in Motion
Presented by The Ohio Assn of Community Health Centers
Mindfulness is the mental ability to enhance self-awareness of present internal and external experiences in a non-judgmental way. Mindfulness encourages people to become aware of how they are reacting to events as those events occur. The self-reflection and awareness, and the shared experience of the emerging self-awareness, may contribute to a climate/culture change in a highly stressed work environment. MIM is part of an organizational initiative to improve the resiliency and work engagement of employees and will be particularly important as it uses a ”real-world“ setting to address a critical problem experienced by many institutions dealing with chronically high stress work environments around the world.
Speakers: Maryanna D. Klatt, Ph.D., Professor-Clinical, Department of Family Medicine - The Ohio State University College of Medicine
