Suicide Prevention, Assessment & Intervention: Practical Strategies for a Caring Community

New Creation's latest workshop is a great opportunity for educators, mental health professionals, and anyone working with potentially suicidal individuals.  

Here in the Miami Valley we are coming to grips with the painful reality of suicide and the threat it poses to our loved ones and to the people we serve.  Whether we are teachers, students, healthcare providers, pastors, friends, or family members, we see the increasing incidents of suicide in our community and we recognize the need to identify at-risk individuals and connect them with the right resources.  However we can feel ill-equipped to provide the necessary prevention, assessment, and intervention services that could save lives.

This workshop, presented by Ohio State University Professors Darcy and Paul Granello, will provide attendees with a clear understanding of how to work with suicidal individuals in a variety of settings as well as practical steps for implementing prevention programming.  

The fee for this workshop is $10.  If you would like 6 CEUs from the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board, the fee for the workshop is $70.  Lunch will be provided to all attendees.
