Walsh University, North Canton, Ohio invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Counselor Education to begin August 2017.

Title: Assistant Professor          

Program: Counseling and Human Development, in the School of Health and Behavioral Sciences

Classification: full time salaried position based on a nine-month contract. Optional summer teaching loads will be negotiated as a separate contract. 

Responsibilities: teaching 6 courses over 9-month contract year; participation in Counseling & Human Development Assessment (CHD); student development and advising programs; curriculum review and development; and other faculty assignments. Maintain active scholarship agenda and research plan. Maintain licenses and certifications appropriate to areas of clinical practice. Provide service to the university and to the profession of counseling.

Requirements: Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision (preferred) or CACREP – “grandfathered” Counselor Educator with related terminal degree. Must hold LPCC-S license in Ohio or be eligible for this license; strongly prefer LICDC-CS in Ohio or LICDC-CS license-eligible. At least 3-5 years of licensed clinical practice experience in community mental health settings. Graduate teaching experience preferred.
