Position Overview Summary
Under the general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or designee, this position works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families served. This position works closely with youth, family, foster care and community partners, providing counseling or therapy, advocacy, and support toward the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community.
Responsibilities
National Youth Advocate Program is seeking an engaging, passionate, and energized Family Services Coordinator with a desire to make a lasting impact in intensive mental health case. In this position, you will work as part of an integral service team, assisting the IIHS Therapist to deliver In-Home Services to at-risk adolescents, youth and children, as well as their families, who have been identified by various County Agencies.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
- 2 years of work experience working in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record.
- A willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours as needed
- Requires the ability to meet clients on a flexible schedule
- Must be comfortable providing services in the community and in client homes.
- Must be willing to travel throughout the entire counties to meet with clients (generous mileage reimbursement)
- Must be willing to cover Adams County as needed
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
