Youth Shelter Program Manager – Youngstown, OH
SIGN ON BONUS $1500.00
Salary $: Full Time (40 hours per week); Competitive pay rate based on previous experience. Comprehensive Benefits Package for Full Time
Shift: Dayshift, M-F, On-call Rotation
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to meet or exceed requirements of all funding sources, including working with grant writer to prepare and submit grant requests and to complete required reporting.
- Assure program compliance with FYSB, VOCA, ODJFS, and agency standards.
- Actively monitor the social service environment and seek out and cultivate opportunities to grow and advance the program and its human resources.
- Assure the proper interviewing, hiring, and training of program staff.
- Work with outreach case manager to plan and implement youth-friendly outreach activities.
- Provide direct services to sheltered youth including completion of diagnostic assessments, treatment plans and discharge summaries. Coordinate with case manager regarding client care.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Master’s Degree in counseling, social work or related field and four years related experience, preferably in residential treatment with emphasis on dual diagnoses, counseling/case management and/or community resource linkages.
- Minimum of LSW or LPC license. LISW/LPCC supervisory credential is preferred.
- At least three years of supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to provide individual and group supervision.
- Must have three years’ experience working with at-risk adolescents.
- Ability to navigate and use Behavioral Health Electronic Health Record System and victim services software packages.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and Google business products.

Miscellaneous requirements: Criminal background check; Pre-employment drug screen; If applicable to the position requirements: Clear driving record; TB test, Mini-Physical and First Aid/CPR. Periodic walking and standing during the day. Will involve verbal crisis intervention with clients experiencing crisis situations. Potential exposure to blood borne pathogen.
