Presentation Title: Social Class and Poverty Issues in Counseling, Implications for Ethical Practice

Presenter: Dr. Madeline Clark, LPC, NCC, ACS

Topic: This dynamic program will review relevant theoretical and conceptual material as it relates to social class and poverty in counseling to provide attendees with a solid foundation of these concepts. In addition, the facilitator will provide concrete examples of interventions that helps can utilize when working with persons experiencing poverty or other financial barriers. Finally, the presentation will conclude with a deconstruction of classism and cultural myth surrounding social class.

CEUs:  3 (including 1.5 Ethics) approved
