Improving Care for Older Adults through Interprofessional Education - 

Interprofessional care is essential to quality care of older adults. Often times, older adults face multiple complex problems that require assessment and intervention from various healthcare professionals. By learning how to incorporate perspectives across multiple health and social service disciplines, we enhance problem solving to develop a comprehensive and integrated care plan, inclusive of the older adult, their caregivers, their values and goals. Healthcare professionals will be encouraged and supported by the input and collaboration from other professionals. This session will focus on a real life example of an older adult who has suffered from a traumatic health care event. Held at The Hartville Kitchen (Hartville, Ohio)
