Thursday, June 8th, 2017: Ethics 101 and Supervision 101

Ethics 101 will be offered in the morning from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Supervision 101 will be offered in the afternoon from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

 

*You have the choice to attend only one training or you may register to attend both at a discounted rate!*

Both trainings will be presented by Teri Kinsway, LISW-S

Ethics 101: Participants will actively engage in this basic ethics training via self-reflection and assessment, review of case scenarios, and development of an individual ethics enhancement plan. Attendees will be reminded of the meaning of the core social work values and ethical standards, and will discuss the application to their own current practice.

Supervision 101: Participants will be actively engaged in discussion, case study review, and self-assessment of supervision values, knowledge and skills. Initially, attendees will review NASW’s standards for social work supervision. We will discuss several models of supervision and apply them to various case studies. Finally, participants will be able to do some self-assessment and reflection of cur-rent and future supervision characteristics.
